Automotive gasoil (diesel), commercial bulk depot rate

Commercial bulk depot price of automotive gasoil at the Juba tank farms, per litre, in US dollars, including the road development levy and customs import excise.

Unit: USD per litre · Measurement: PRICE · Scope: CITY · Comparability group: PRICE_DIESEL_USD_LITRE_BULK_DEPOT_JUBA

What this is not

Almost every serious error in operational data is a category error rather than an arithmetic one. These are the things this indicator shares a unit with and must never be combined with.

  • The pump retail price, which the source records separately and which is higher.
  • Availability. A published depot price does not establish that fuel is obtainable in any quantity on any given day — SSIP holds no stock, queue or outage observations for fuel at all.

How current a reading has to be

Current within 45 days, usable within 120 days, measured against the 2026-09-23 build rather than against the time you read this page. A static deployment cannot re-age itself, so the build date is the honest anchor.

Imported construction inputs and bulk fuel reprice on shipment and customs cycles of roughly a month. They do not move daily, and a six-week-old depot rate remains a usable planning figure.

Readings held (1)

  • 1.22 USD per litre — observed 2026-09-12, 11 days before the 2026-09-23 build

As the source states it: “$1.22 / liter (SSP 5,670)”

What SSIP says about it

  • Automotive gasoil (diesel), commercial bulk depot rate: 1.22 USD per litre, recorded 2026-09-12 by Ministry of Petroleum & Juba Depot Fuel Wholesalers Survey. Inside this indicator's 45-day currency window as of 2026-09-23.
Rule: Take the most recent dated observation bound to this indicator and classify its age against the indicator's own freshness policy (45 days current, 120 days usable — Imported construction inputs and bulk fuel reprice on shipment and customs cycles of roughly a month. They do not move daily, and a six-week-old depot rate remains a usable planning figure.).
Does not establish: That the condition still holds today. This is the most recent reading SSIP holds, not a statement about 2026-09-23. The pump retail price, which the source records separately and which is higher.

What SSIP does not hold

  • Juba depots only. SSIP holds no fuel price for any other town.
  • No availability, stock-out or queue observation exists in the corpus for any location. Price and availability are separate questions and SSIP can answer only the first.
  • No petrol (gasoline), kerosene or jet fuel reading is held.

How to read this

Every figure on this page carries an evidence state — Verified, Operational, Announced, Estimated, Inferred, Disputed, Simulated, Reference or Unavailable — and each state has a stated definition. SSIP does not present an estimate as an observation, and it does not record a missing value as zero.
